Dear Dr. Warren,

I have listened to you speak many times and appreciate your frank comments to many young people regarding savings, home ownership, etc.

For several years we have witnessed the decline in the housing market. So many people have lost their homes and it appears that many more are about to.

You have done so much research in the area of home ownership so, I'm wondering if you have any information on whether it is wise for people to buy a home at all.

I am an older American who has always lived in my own home and lately I'm begining to wonder, albeit, rather late,that home ownership is a big hoax.

If all of us homeowners would religiously record every expense we incur for or because we own a home, would we really show any profit in correctly adjusted dollars when we sell?
