I have written Kay and John several times. Although going in great detail John did respond twice (to his credit). John wanted to hold Freddie and Fannie to the fire for the mess (they???)got us in and Kay responded with republican talking points on how it would force lenders to raise rates. Not even acknowledging the "sun set" provisions which would mitigate most of that along with the stimulus which is providing incentive for Servicers to do so. I think we may have had faster and more reaching results if we had a "safe harbor" amended into the stimulus bill. Those dang PSAs make things so difficult and gives the Servicers an "out" when they refuse to modify a loan. Of course they get all of that dough from MIP for Expenses, fees for foreclosing. I think MIP is one of the main reasons why we have Foreclosure mills like BBWDFP LLP...
